Trauma Sensitive Movement
with Dion Wiedenhoefer
Trauma Sensitive Movement was born out of Dion’s own healing journey and exploration with trauma recovery treatments, combined with her experiences in training and teaching yoga, dance, Pilates and functional movement conditioning. Dion is a certified Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) Facilitator who believes that through the practice of moving, noticing sensations and choosing what we do with our own bodies, while having a shared authentic experience in community is profoundly helpful to one’s recovery, health and wellness. Her offerings prioritize awareness of power dynamics, non-coercion and compassion.

“Yoga must not be practiced to control the body; it is the opposite, it must bring freedom to the body, all the freedom it needs.”
